Simon provides comprehensive financial advice, and has been a financial adviser since December 2013.

At Hassan & Associates, Simon advises family offices, charitable foundations/trusts, higher net wealth and higher earning individuals, and those seeking retirement planning. He uses the comprehensive financial planning process with a focus on investment strategy, portfolio construction and retirement adequacy planning.

His commitment to a thoroughly professional advice model, integrity and drive for client success is what brought him to Hassan & Associates and fits him well for his role here.

Simon's career includes 18 years in financial markets. Prior to joining Hassan & Associates in March 2015, Simon was an Authorised Financial Adviser with ASB Wealth Management. Before this, he worked as a fixed income and equities trader at ASB Securities for 7 years. Before returning to New Zealand in 2006, Simon spent 10 years in London, working at Deutsche Bank and JP Morgan, where he developed a deep and intricate knowledge of global financial markets.

Simon is married to Jo and together they have three young and energetic boys. Outside of work Simon takes a keen interest in most outdoor sports and activities. His willingness to participate in outdoor activity has provided many opportunities to meet different people and has helped him develop camaraderie, friendships and working relationships with people from all walks in life.

Simon is a working towards to achieving the Certified Financial PlannerCM credential.
